Class Descriptions
Our Yoga Classes
Introductory
An introduction to yoga designed to meet the needs of the complete beginner. All levels of students are welcome as sometimes it may take 12 months or more to integrate mind and body with basic poses.
Level I
Learn how yoga practiced with an attention to alignment supports body, mind and spirit. Appropriate for those that have completed an 8-week introductory series or those that have practiced other types of yoga.
Level II
Builds on the poses of a Level I class with an emphasis on standing poses. Must have completed an 8 weeks of an Introductory Class and 8 weeks of a Level I class to attend.
Level III
Deepen your practice with this advanced class that includes standing poses and inversions. Includes a vinyasa practice. Must have permission to attend.
Children's Yoga
Kids 7 – 12 will learn simple movements in a fun environment to help them become more focused and strong.
Gentle Yoga
An 8-week specialty class designed to help one overcome destructive emotions. This is a gentle practice that is perfect for any level of experience.
Intro to Inversions
Learn how to safely turn yourself upside down. Inversions benefit the circulatory system, endocrine system and create a sense of calm. Must have completed an 8 week Level I series to attend.
Intro to Backbending
Learn the basics of backbending while opening the heart and building courage. Backbending creates a quiet energy and helps you deepen your practice. Must have completed an 8 week Level I series to attend.
Backbending II
As you deepen your backbending practice, you become stronger and your heart opens into greater self-acceptance and compassion for others.
Prenatal Yoga
Build strength and flexibility as you prepare your body for birth. Helps relieve acid reflux, swelling, low back discomfort and sciatica. A time to relax, feel supported and connect with other expectant mothers.
Ropes & Beyond
Take your practice to the wall with the use of ropes to support, strengthen and gain flexibility.
Yoga for Daily Living
Simple yoga sequences to take home. Learn how to soothe your tight neck and shoulders, low back issues or recover from traveling to name just a few.
Chair Yoga
Especially appropriate for those with limited mobility or strength. Core poses are modified using a chair or props to enable students at all levels of fitness to enjoy the benefits of a regular yoga practice.
